1. ROMANIAN CULTURE

Day 1: Bucharest – Târgu Jiu (2 nights)

Departure from Bucharest to Târgu Jiu, the home of the great sculptor Constantin Brâncuși, nicknamed ‘the poet of the carved forms’. 

Day 2: Târgu Jiu – Hobița – Tismana Monastery

The day begins with a pedestrian tour of the center of Târgu Jiu. The main tourist destination is the Sculptural Ensemble Constantin Brâncuși. In the Central Park on the shores of Jiu, we will admire two of the most representative monuments of the famous artist, the Gate of the Kiss and the Table of Silence.

Day 3: Târgu Jiu – Curtea de Argeș – Târgoviște – Bucharest

Departure from Târgu Jiu to Curtea de Argeș, a place full of history, legends, a quiet and beautiful place where we will discover together the Monastery of Curtea de Argeș, the place where the Romanian kings sleep for eternity.

2. MEDIEVAL TRANSYLVANIA

Day 1: Bucharest-Prahova Valley-Bran-Brașov
On the way, we will admire the Prahova Valley, one of the most famous tourist regions in the Carpathian Mountains with the Bușteni, Sinaia and Azuga resorts, situated in the majestic shelter of the Bucegi Mountains. The beauty and the wildness of these places led King Carol I of Romania to raise his summer residence, Peleș Castle, in Sinaia. Then we arrive at Bran, an ancient pastoral settlement, which still preserves its traditions. Bran Castle is the only Castle in Transylvania which corresponds to Bram Stoker’s description, the whole world refers to it as Dracula’s Castle.

Day 2: Brașov-Sighisoara
Travel to Brașov, where we have free time, then dinner and hotel accommodation.

Day 3: Brașov-Sibiu-Bucharest
Breakfast at the hotel, then we will travel to Sibiu – European Cultural Capital in 2007.

3. THE MAGIC LAND OF DOBROGEA AND THE BLACK SEA

Day 1: Bucharest – St. Andrew’s Cave – Adamclisi – Murighiol 

The first stop is in one of the most revered Christian places in our country, the cradle of the Romanian Orthodoxy: St. Andrew’s Cave. Considered the ‘Bethlehem of Romanian Christianity’. We will continue with a stop at Adamclisi in order to visit 2 sights that marked the past of the Romanian people – the birth certificate of Latin Romania – the Tropaeum Traiani Monument and Fortress, built in 106-109 by the great architect Apolodor of Damascus, as a tribute to the defeat of the Dacians (year 102) by the Romans ruled by Trajan, the Roman Emperor.

Day 2: Danube Delta trip

Breakfast at the hotel. Traveling to the Danube Delta’s most beautiful arm – Sfântu Gheorghe. Then, we will start sailing on canals and lakes: Erenciuc, Puiu, Roșu, Roșulet – called the heart of the Danube Delta, and we reach the Sulina Branch.

Day 3: Murighiol-Enisala-Constanța-Bucharest

After serving breakfast, we will visit the ruins of the Halmyris fortress in Murighiol, one of the most important archaeological sites in Romania.
